I'm thinking braid on braid polyester as its not super expensive, Strong for the diameter and has low stretch but enough to allow for shock absorption. To me it sounds perfect for the job.

Any input on the above or any other material choices i should be considering.

I need it to be...

UV resistant
Low water absorption
Some but low stretch
Strong for anchoring
Rot proof
And cheap as possible

I don't want to pay £300+ for 100m of 10mm so the fancy octoplait stuff is out of question.

Im currently using 10mm 3 strand polyprop and it does the job perfectly with no issues of anchor dragging or bouncing as the 4m of 6mm galv chain keeps anchor bedded, I'm just keeping my options open for my upgrade as the polyprop seems to be suffering from UV degradation and discolouration and want to replace before it breaks at the wrong time.

Cheers.
