Anchor jumping off bow roller when being raised

Mac: I do stop if it its the wrong way around. The trouble is I don't know what to do next as it will literally hang the wrong way around...

Ours (25kg) sometimes arrives like that. Dropping the hook a couple of feet will sometimes turn it. Failing that, you'd need to manually rotate the chain half a turn, which can be difficult if the slot in the roller is narrow -- and obviously if the anchor is particularly heavy. Norman's cranked link (post #7) is probably the nearest to an 'automatic' solution.

My bent link has no swivel, and it rotates the anchor to the correct orientation every time 100%.

This is based on Norman's idea of a bent link.

All the dimensions are here to make your own. You do need some space between the end of the anchor shank and the gypsy.
