A previous boat of mine was a 60ft wooden Scottish Fishing boat. Probably about 45tons. I used a 140lb plough on 16mm chain. Also carried a 140lb Danforth, and a gigantic Fisherman (anchor) nailed to the foc'sl bulkhead, (never used).

The fishing industry is dying on its feet, bound to be anchors lying around.

So at 37 tons are you changing boats? What are you buying?

Yep, new boat! She's a 53ft converted wooden ex-MFV, also Scottish built, lying up north at the moment, I'll be getting her ready for sea then going to bring her down south.
