ANAZOTE?

I have an old Scow clinker dingy and it has Anazote as flotation. The old plans I have say 6lb of positive buoyancy to be supplied in the form of Anazote sewn in canvas and evenly distributed fore and aft.
I do not want to destroy the canvas to have a look so can anyone tell me what Anazote is???

It's probably a trade name from the company Zotefoams and probably a low density closed-cell foam

Their current brand names are - Plastazote, Evazote, Supazote, Propozote and ZOTEK
