I have 2 Yanmar 4JH3E engines and wish to convert the analogue signals from the sensors to NMEA 2000 so that it can be read by a Raymarine E120 multi display unit. Has anyone got any ideas on how to achieve this at little cost? Thank you.

Hi Geoff,

Thank you for your reply. I'm not sure whether the engine has a J1939 interface. The yacht is berthed in Turkey and I am going out there next week for a fortnight. I will check how the engines communicate with the current instruments and get back to you on my return. The engines were new in 2000.

Again thank you.

Best regards,

Liam

"Analogue " so it would be convential signals like voltage temperature / pressurs signals.

I would also be interested in a converter from convential voltage / resistence / 4-20mA analogue signals to either NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0830 message format

Hi Geoff,
I checked with Yanmar and my engines produce conventional signals for voltage; temperature; oil pressure and revs. Any ideas?
