Subject: Wallasea Island Wild Coast Project update

Dear all,

I am emailing you with a small number of updates:

Material Handling

As discussed at the last LLG meeting modifications to the jetty and
conveyors have been ongoing to ensure the full range of materials destined
for the project can be unloaded. This work is proceeding well and results
are encouraging with regular shipping now commenced from Northfleet.

As part of this process up to 25 lorries will be bringing in a trail load
from the Limmo tunnelling site to Baltic Wharf for shipment to the pontoon.
The deliveries will take place over a two-day period within the next 10 days
and will follow the agreed delivery route. We have consulted with Essex CC
who have confirmed this is acceptable. There is no intension to bring in
fill material by road, all the larger quantities of this material type will
be brought in by ship.

Summer Event

We had indicated at the last meeting that we were intending to hold our
summer event in August, our plans have now changed and this will be in
September. I will confirm the date in due course.

Hilary Hunter, Wallasea Island People Engagement Manager

Please note that Hilary Hunter has decided to leave the RSPB and we wish her
well in her future plans.

If you have any queries at any time please do get in touch

Best wishes,

Chris
