To counter the bias of magazines to south coast activities, cruising the rias etc, a new online magazine has been launched that is just for us :)

Have a look at the East Coast Sailing website and click on to the first edition of their magazine.

All contributions from any of us will be welcome, as will feedback.

Another good idea from some well known East Coast sailors. No connection etc other than using the same muddy puddles. We are very fortunate to be so well informed about this great cruising ground. :):)

It looks good and I hope it continues. Major drawback is that it requires Flash which means you can't view it on an iPad, a shame because I find the iPad is perfect for e-magazines.

look forward to the next one.

Yes. Unfortunate. We regret that but in these early days that was a bridge too far. Hopefully we can do something about that in the future.

And thanks for the kind comment chaps.

Is it just me that I found the content very good but the process of viewing it rather cumbersome as it involved a lot of scrolling and clicking? If the print is large enough to read then one page covers more than my screen. It seems churlish to complain about something that is free, but I'm not sure that I have the patience to view it regularly.

I agree about the layout - the contents are fine, especially for a "start up", but its difficult to read and needs patience, which I, for one, have a limited supply of. It seems to be designed to look like a "real" magazine, but only if you have a huge screen that will take it page at a time, while still readable. I've got a notebook.

I hope the authors take this as its meant - constructive criticism, not having a pop. I'm sure there is a future in it.
