to what is probably a very simple question if you know how.....do I attach a website address to a post. I see lots of "click" "here" etc. that take me to some very intersting (nautical) sites. Can anyone tell me please

You need to do the following, using [] brackets only. So for instance, it looks like this, for example.
{url=http://www.rya.org.uk/}here{/url}
but only using [] brackets. Like so.......... <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.rya.org.uk/>here</A>

If its not clear from H00's answer, try typing:

HERE

and when you post it, it will appear as:

<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.rya.org.uk/>HERE</A>

... which provides a hyperlink to the RYA web site.
