Those of you who have visited Cowes Yacht Haven can't fail to have noticed a rather striking yacht finished in bright pink. Actually there are two, a big one and a small one. Miss Isle, and Miss Isle Too. The helm seat is a slightly unusual design, more at home in a race car than a sailing yacht and when you look closely there are some strange electronic gubbins not usually seen on a yacht.
All this is needed because the Yacht's Skipper Natasha, has athertoid cerebral palsy.
Rather than accept her fate Natasha has used sailing to re-define what is possible. She has chosen to focus on the able part of disabled and last year sailed single handed round the Isle of Wight.
Today she's sailing across the English Channel from France to England.
As well as the personal achievement she wants to help others by raising money and that's where I wonder if you guys might help out. I have nothing to do with the project other than feeling moved every time I meet Natasha. Her smile could fill a stadium and she is a true inspiration.
