Amusing Boat Names

There was a FF somewhere called "Puff the Tragic Wagon"

Dear Heart wanted to call a boat we had, "All rabbits friends and relations" - not a good name if trying to run calmly through a Mayday....

A couple of 'hot' dingys seen here abouts - 'Slippery when wet' and 'Pink inside'.

My wife always grins at a motor cruiser we regularly see called
'String of Pearls'.
Some may need to 'Google' for the 'urban' translation:D

I knew a rowing tender apparently named "Eau you are oarful, but I like you" after the Dick Emery catchphrase. It was abbreviated to "Eau!" on the transom presumably for reasons of space!

I assume you mean the Hunter 27OOD? Used to belong (and possibly still does) to a friend, who purchaed it with her dad's inheritance. Her name is Ellie Wainwright. If you see her say hi to her for me (haven't seen her for years).Bob

Can't recall ever actually seeing anyone on board the boat, but the name is prominent on the sail cover, I will make a point of looking out for the owner this summer and if it is Ellie I will indeed pass your regards on to her.

There is a Beneteau in Swansea called 'Fun to Fondle'

and a cat at Mumbles unforgivably called 'Itchy Pussy'

Oh and my mate has a Hardy 18 called Blue Pig. It was going to be Black Pig after Cpt Pugwash's ship but it is blue and a bit piggy so logic dictated....
