Anybody know where to get brushes for these just looked on their website 7 pounds for the brushes and 14 pounds for delivery final cost 25 pounds for two tiny brushes???? Am in Spain one brush is goosed.
That was my plan but they seemed to be made of a sintered phosphor bronze type of thing rather than the usual carbon - cant imagine it makes a lot of difference maybe slightly more resistance - they are only there to allow rotation to point in the wind direction. But it seems to put my auto electricians off.
I think you will find that the same rotation type brush is also used in the Aero2gen. I had one of those wind gennys, and noticed that it was a bronze type brush.
I have just tried to get on the Ampair website, and get the following message - Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.
Summat odd going on.
If all else fails, find out how much it would be to send the brushes to me in Cornwall, and how much to forward them to you, from me, by Royal Mail to Spain.
You can contact me by PM if you want to do it this way.
Many thanks Phillip but am back in the UK soon so will sort it then. Yes its an odd website, no doubt they are in the middle of another takeover or something - that delivery charge was for a UK delivery to my home address. Why do they make these simple things so obtuse - well I know really - but they almost seem to drive themselves out of business in the process. The classic must be Mr "Stowe" on the south coast, he must be single handedly responsible for a huge boost in Raymarine, Tactik etc sales.
