Amp meter wiring

I have a vdo amp meter would like to wire up,could you please advise on wiring. 3 battery set up 1 cranking 2 domestic, split charge diode, solar panels, small alternator; on get a bigger one list, 3 battery voltmeters ( if possible i want to replace one of these as i have replication) Please reply schematically if poss. thanks

Assuming you want to monitor the combined voltage of the domestic bank and the voltage of the starter battery. and that the ammeter is to monitor charging and discharging of the domestic bank

Sorry missed the solar panel but direct to battery via fuse unless you want to monitor its current as well.

two alternatives shown. one with direct connecting ammeter, the other with a shunt and a remote meter
