Anyone else see the item on BBC morning tv?
Apparently the new boat will be a monohull, no keel, two canting foils.
Wonder if Seajet is aware, will make interesting modification when added to an A22. ;)

Thanks for posting.

Fine for folks who like it but dunny work for me.

None of us are ever going to have a boat set up like that. So it's a form of sailing that we
won't be able to identify with hence lack of any interest.

Can definitely see foils making there way into amateur racing though. Should be fun.

Not really, Ben Ainslie spoke over the top of the animation that the Kiwis released last year. Unfortunately, the Beeb played the technical bit of the animation showing foil configs and some science, rather than the next bit which was quite a nice visualisation of two boats racing showing tacks and gybes and would have meant a whole lot more to 99% of the veiwers...

"tacks & gybes having meaning to 99% of the viewers"?
Really, on morning TV?

Are we still expecting the full text of the rules the end of this month?
It will be interesting to see how similar the boats are forced to be.
