It seems that 5 and 10 knots of wind is to much for these boats. For Gods sake I've had kids in dinghies racing in stronger winds.
These NZ (most of the crews) must be girls!!!
You would have thought the $100M would have produced 'real' boats.

5-10 knots is perfect. It looks as if race 1 will be underway very soon - possibly within the next half hour.
The problem on Monday was the stability of the wind - it is hard to set an upwind leg when the wind at the top mark is 90 degrees different to the start. And on Wednesday it was waves, not wind.
When I checked a few minutes ago, there was only a 10 degree difference in direction between top mark and start, and wind was 4-6 knots. So they should be underway v v soon.

I can't wait.
