Apologies that this is non moboaty post, but I just love watching the fast cats racing. To see both hulls out of the water just looks stunning. I would love to be onboard!

You should have come down to Plymouth in 2011 then, when they were racing the AC45s. I'm not a fan of sailing but that was great fun to watch.

Ps...probably not enough engines for this forum?...

Been awesome TV, not sure there are many on here who would be able to keep up with an AC 72, I'd be trailing in their wake. Got split loyalties, fantastic to see Ben Ainslie doing a great job on Oracle - may help us Brits get a viable challenge together for next time - but on the other hand it would be good to see the Kiwis win.

I don't know why Oracle got a penalty but without it they would be tied right now, should they win it would be the mother of all come backs. Exiting and great tv coverage.

Oracle got the penalty because they were caught blatantly cheating. The only reason they are in still is that they isolated the team members who were cheating and they have been banned from racing. The rest of the team got docked 2 points.

Gotta give full marks to Larrys lot for the come back, they looked dead in the water at 8:1 but remarkable come back. I really hope they go on to finish it today!

Due to the hydro planing hese things are virtually flying rather than sailing.

Think that may be the difference between the boats, the US now have short ( as in vertical ) and run just below the surface, NZ still have the tall foils that runs deeper, thus more drag.
