Me.Yup
Him (Long series of naughty words).
Why is it that some folks are unable to comprehend that christmas is a pain.
If you want to give a present do it.
Want to see friends and family do it.
Need to get terminally sloshed, just get on with it.
Why use a fake victorian celebration less than a hunded years old to justify having a bit of time off.
The first time I spent xmas abroad it felt a bit odd, that was twenty odd years ago..
Best time to try and fly by the way is Xmas day,no traffic on M25 and no crowds at Gatwick.Heaven.

Agreed LJS, re young kids. We're driving 540 miles tomorrow to spend Christmas w/grandkids in Augusta. 'spose it's worth it to see their faces (4 & 7 ) on Christmas morning. Wife is much more into it - buying and wrapping loads and loads of presents (oh l et's buy this for them, too) and decorating the tree - than I will ever be. And it's cold up there in Georgia - only 28F this morning. That's MUCH worse than here where it was about 40 and felt orful when we went to get a flu jab at the catholic(!) church, courtesy of the Rotary Club. My blood must have thinned!! It's gorgeous boating weather now, tho. Blue sky and 70F with light N wind. Can't go out to play - must pack car etc ready for tomorrow's 9 hr trek.

You\'ve all missed the trick...

Original post by "Nick"..... think about it.....Nick...as in Nicholas... as in St. Nicholas...as in Santa Clause (just in case it hasn't dawned yet)...Santa Clause is a derivation of St. Nicholas....

Re: Ten things I despise about Christmas

I managed to miss most of that rubbish in 2000 by contriving to be in the middle of Biscay on the 25th Dec. Flat calm, a free airshow courtesy of a circling French Atlantique on patrol and chrimbo dinner of sausages and mash. Magic!

cheers,
david

<hr width=100% size=1>I employed you people to get a little railroad laid, not to dance around like Kansas City faggots!
