you are all right, I want a trawler probably a Nordhavn but that has to wait until retirement, so looks like I want a Aquador or Botnia or similar just now.
Why wait till you retire, there was a lovely CKip trawler yacht for sale at Fairlie Quay/Kip Marina, don't know if its the same one, but recently saw another nice one at Ardrossan. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I picked her up on the Hotest day of last year. The Hard top keeps you cool in Hot weather! The added advantage of the sunroof is that you still get sun but protection from too much of it. I also have a cool/warm air blower on the windscreens so this keeps it cool as well. If you want wind in your hair stick your noggin through the roof!
I have to say that every issue I imagined with her was unfounded. Hard Tops are the way to go! I do however prefer open backed Hard Tops as I have Patio Doors at home and do not like them on a boat /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
IMO a decent hardtop (not just a wheelshelter) needs a sunroof and opening windows.
Heat can really buildup in the wheelhouse (like a Greenhouse) and letting it rise outta the boat works well. or aircon /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
