Has anyone any experience of using this American system found here My Sealine S41 has a high bathing platform and I have ascertained that it can be used OK from that height after the UK agent confirmed it was perfectly usable. He e mailed me a pic of the system being used on a Prestige 46, that has a similiar height platform. Anyone have any experience to share?

I've got these on my Prestige 32, they work great as long as your tender isn't too big, when I had a 3mtr Avon Rib with a 15hp 2 stoke it was fine. Now I have a 3.1 RhinoRib with 25 hp 2 stroke, my wife now finds it a bit of a struggle, so I had to buy her some davits (for her birthday) to help out. But she still uses the cradle to launch RhinoRib.

I'm just putting a 2.7m rib with a 8hp or so on the back so it looks like it will easily cope with it considering how much bigger your rib looks...are they that easy to use?

Yes, dead easy, you should be able to just cantilever it on, on your own, but is always easier with a helper. I got mine from Boat davits UK, quick delivery and good guy to deal with, no hassles at all, just doesn't look worth the cost, but I guess it is what it does is what you pay for.

Thinking of doing the same with a 2.7m inflatable ( V hull, airdeck, not rigid) +suzuki 6hp on a targa 34. I'll be interested in how you get on. Also anyone's thoughts on using this system on a targa 34

Do they only work with ribs or are they OK with inflatable floors?

They work for both, there's more info here and it states that for ribs you need to order a seperate polythene supports which you shape to your particular hull for a snug fit. So, presumably air deck floors fit the standard setup.
The cost in USA is about $899 but over here that will probably equate to £899 /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
