Aluminium Anodes & Zincs

Hi All,

I'm looking to replace the anodes on my new to me boat, she has VP D4-260s with DPHs. After some reading on the web I'm inclined to replace the existing Mag anodes with Aluminium instead of Zinc, I'm aware you shouldn't mix Ally & Zinc. If I use an Aluminium DPH anode kit should I use Aluminium anodes in the exhaust elbows and in the engines also? Any help will be very much appreciated.

PS. The boat will be kept in Chichester harbour and used at sea.

Stick with all aluminium or all zinc and don’t mix materials. We have been using ali for years now in saltwater and in fresh.

If I were you I would have a read on Mgduff website I think they are a renowned authority on this subject. At least you are in salt water and not Brackish which is rearly confusing
