I'm refitting 30 year old aluminium framed windows, as have many recent posters. I've got sealant for between the auminium frame and the cabin side from Eagle Boat Windows.

My problem is the seal between the aluminium and the perspex. The professionals I'm told use a two part rubber baked in an oven. Is there something in a tube that I can use DIY?

Or is the neoprene type seal from seals direct or similar the only way to go?

Thanks in advance for advice.

Sikaflex 295 UV is intended for the fitting and sealing of perspex and other plastic windows. Sikaflex 296 is intended for the same with glass. See Sikaflex marine products Don't be tempted to use any old stuff as many will react with the perspex.

My glass windows in aluminium frames are bedded in 296, although I have read a post by an owner who did the same with a rubber seal from Seals Direct. The sealant method is not easy, so I would be tempted to try the rubber method if the dimensions of your arrangement are suitable.
