I have just bought a 2004 Avon 320 jet rib fitted with Yamaha 2 stroke engine , battery seems to not be charging, does anyone know if this engine is fitted with an Alternator ?? can't seem to find any info anywhere.

I d expect any engine with electric starting to have a battery charging system , although maybe not with a conventional belt driven alternator
What info can you provide on the engine model, hp etc .... been looking but still no idea what it might be.
In absence of any info Id suggest checking all electrical connections and fuses
Verify that there is no electrical output to battery and if not my primary suspect would be the rectifier/ regulator.
You said you have the manual and the parts list.
Doesn't the manual tell you about the battery charging.
If your parts list includes the usual exploded diagrams you should be able to identify the rectifier.
