alternator / tachometer

just got a tachometer from Plastimo . Nice bit of kit for the money, however I need to calibrate it. Does anyone know ,on a VP2002, how many poles on the alternator, and, pulley ratio ? . I just know someone out there has the answers !

When I had the tacho's adjusted a nice man lent me an optical tacho to measure the actual engine RPM then all I had to do was adjust the calibration thing on the back of the boat tacho to read the same while leaving the engine(s) running at the same throttle setting(s)

Maybe a different method of calibration is needed on your tacho though.
