the 12volt alternator (VP D3 110ib) doesn't get excitation all the time: voltage 12v and not 14,4 v as usual. alarm sounds and lamps blink.

I checked the wiring, changed the warning lamp.

When not excited, if I start the genset, voltage is 14,4 volt, lamps stop blinking. after 10 min I shut down the genset and all is ok.
what can I do?

Before starting the engine check the voltage of the battery that the alternator sense wire is connected to.
If OK then check the voltage of the sense connection at the alternator. Is the wire or terminal corroded and causing a voltage drop.
It could be that starting the genset hides the fact that you have a dead battery or a problem with the sense wire that drops the voltage.
