Alpha 1 Gen 2 water ingress

Gary, this is a really interesting post, what it also shows if you take a logical and methodical approach, there is little you can't do yourself.
I don't believe you really understand something till you have it had apart !
You can go to sea with the knowledge you're not helming someone else's bodge up...

For your reference, this is the oil I'm now using - and so far so good.
Another one which in the US is widely recognised as one of the best is Amsoil.
But mind, I would have never changed it just to save a few quids, if I hadn't heard several opinions from sources which I consider far more reliable (and unbiased) than any average Merc shop. Which btw would surely tell you that it's a big risk not to use their stuff, because it's the only one which keeps his properties also when mixed with water, blah, blah...

PS: the same goes for engine oil, btw. Though obviously in different grades.

Gary, can you point me in the download direction for the Alfa Gen 2 workshop manual please? I have not been able to find one on my travels.
