Rowana
Two steps lower than the ships' cat
Well folks, I've finally taken the plunge - so to speak, although I hope I don't plunge over the side.
Negotiations are at an advanced stage, and it only remains to get the insurance documents sorted and I'm afloat at long last !
I've gone and bought a MacWester Rowan 8meter called "Rowana". Not the fastest boat around, but I'm sure she'll give me lots of fun and enjoyment, especially as she will be my very first boat.
She's curently in the Clyde, and I was down earlier this week to see her launched and rigged. We went for a wee sail on Wednesday morning and there was hardly a breath of wind, but we did manage to get the cruising shute to fill just long enough for me see what it will look like.
The next bit of the exercise will be getting her back home to Peterhead which I'm really looking forward to. Crew positions may be available !
