I prefer a nice hot bath.

I put on some music, light some candles & use plenty of bubble bath.

Plus, bath time isn't the same if I'm not playing with my...

Errr, rubber ducks! :o

Hmmmmm Frank Holden & the other Pole Cats... are you still a virgins? Blow up dolls & prostitutes or Thailand, doesn't count.

That seems a little unfair Frank set out a clear circumstance when there would be a problem using the amount of water for you to be happy with the smell.

Florence Nightingale said that a person could keep themselves adequately clean with only a pint of water a day. I have no shower on my boat but keep perfectly clean when not in a marina using about a third of a washing up bowl of hot water once a day.

No thank you. A proper shower is essential. :p
Essential? No. Nice to have? Certainly.

It is not an option on my boat. There isn't the room, water capacity or any means of heating the water.

Anyway, the Carruthers option is often available if wanted. A morning swim! :encouragement:

You see, this is why you boys don't have pontoons of women lining up to come sailing with you! No home comforts = no 'home comforts'....:o

After a morning spent digging through stinky lobster bait, and afternoon selling (not stinky) fish, I, apparently, need a shower. Even if I had a sluice with the deck hose. Can't understand it myself.

At home - Every Morning plus some evenings.
On the Boat: I have a small boat so a below decks shower is not really an option.
But i do have a self draining cockpit and a good(ish) cockpit tent.
I bought a camping 12 volt shower/pump thingy for little money and with low expectations.
Turns out that a kettle full of boiling water into a 10 litre bucket filled up with cold water is about right for quite a reasonable shower!
OK, so I stop the shower while lathering and hair washing, but by the end of 10 litres i do feel like i have had a proper shower.
Being able to wash the salt and more importantly the layers of sunscreen and sweat off at the end of the day feels luxurious and very relaxing.

I do not like the idea of an outside shower when it is sleeting.

It is all about what is suitable for the circumstances. the wifes boat has showering facilities even an outside freshwater tap.
My little puddle jumper only has a 10 galon water tank. So the choise is a shower every day or drink Te.
