had visions of Almeria sinking and thought "It couldn't happen to a nicer place."
My commiserations to the couple who lost the boat - I'd assume, from the limited information - that thy were either paid crew or a delivery crew.
If the latter, I hope his PII is up to date, as fire at sea usually are the result of crew negligence.

Rather isolated, but with a busy live-aboard community. Some would say that this erases local colour and interest. Sunny winters and alcohol ease the pain.
