Has anyone any experience of Hammerite Smoothrite painted props. I was wondering if this product ,with the correct Hammerite alluminium primer,might offer a solution to my badly holed props.

From my experiance it only lasted a month or so.
better to buy a high quality acid etch primer with Hammerite smooth on top.
make sure the props are really clean.

I would 2nd GRR. I used hammerite on its own on ally duo props and it only lasted about 10 hours. I then used the proper primer and gave them three coats of hammerite on top. Its lasted all season as was still ok when I sold the boat. Sorry but I cant remember the type of primer I used.
