Lock Gate. All repaired. Top collar on lower gate sorted.
Up there for three days over this glorious weekend.
A few bits in the river as we went up .....and the odd log.
Moored overnight in the lock cut... now with shore power.
Where is everybody ?
Possibly half a dozen lock transits over three days and two of those were us.
Spotted a couple of dutch barges on the move and one or two by the hour small hire boats.
Not a single NB moving and local mobo leisure stuff all firmly remain tied up.
If you look hard enough the odd fisherman as well.
Slipway in use and results of the EA dredger cleaning up the river lying next to slipway.
Motor scooter, what was once a very expensive Triumph motor cycle and some other heavy detrius. Police collecting .
River very active with paddle boarders, inflatable canoes, kayak clubs mostly youngsters , rowing club boats plus loads of folks wandering up the footpath from Allington to Maidstone.
The trip boat busy but not packed.
Remember all the doommongers, when shops started to charge for plastic bags,................Now virtually no eyesore rubbish in river or vegetation on river bank.
Two small Mobos moored at lock, presumably seized due to non payment of river licence and possibly up for sale.
