Last saturday we had the fist meeting of the new Dutch Nicholson owners circle.
The circle has been created because it is getting more and more difficult to get spare parts for the now ageing fleet of Nicholsons. Also, because of the fact that C&N are now owned by Nautor Swan (who are now Italian owned themselves) there is no longer an after sales service like there used to be. The circle is meant for Nic owners in the Netherlands and Belgium, but we already had a request from thc chairman of the British Nic35 owners association to join. He, and anyone else interested, is welcome to join, of course.

A secundary, but certainly no less important aim of the circle is to enjoy the sight of all these beautiful boats. The members that joined us so far are owners of some Nic30's, a number of Nic31's, one Nic 32, a number of Nic 35's, one Nic 38, one Nic 48 and one Nic 55.

For more info, send me a PM

cheers

We have a Nicholson 31 here in England. My parents bought her new in 1979 and she has been a lovely family boat for all these years. Good luck with your owners circle.

We have a Nicholson 35 Jolina class which we bought in 2000. Last year we sailed her round to Benicarlo,Spain where we now live. She was built in 1957, is mahogany on oak and sails beautifully.I would be very interested in joining your association.
By the way, a Dutch friend of mine from Dronten helped me sail her from Milford Haven across the bay down to Cascais,Portugal where we changed crew.
A full account of our adventure can be found at www.thomas.wyenet.co.uk
Good luck
Marc Thomas
