All I want is a decent lenght!

Welcome back Nostro!

Not defending marina berths in any way (some of them are incredibly difficult to use) but if your stern in hanging out due to a short finger pontoon, usually you just tighten up your second bow line. (have i miss understood?)

Thank you Wklein,
When the pontoon is only slightly longer than a gnats pubic hair after a Brazilian and your boat is 13.5 meters and no middle cleat your centre cleat becomes your stern line as the stern line itself is only good as a spring.
Hope you get what I mean.

Where is it that you are describing?

I had exactly the same problem as you at Carentan recently. 12.3m. Nothing I could do with all the available cleats to prevent the stern from getting worryingly close to the adjacent boat every time the wind picked up. So, the only solution was to suspend 3 or 4 fenders from my quarter to avoid any damage to them or us.

Lovely place. Stupidly short (and narrow/bouncy) fingers.

Always a sucker for new clever gear, I tried to look up Talon Hook on Google, but ended up stuck in esoteric climbing gear. Anyone know a stockist or the manufacturer's website?
