all hail moonfire!!!-thanks to forumites in general

having posted some of my recent frustrations regarding paraffin stoves, "moonfire" got in touch, took the time and trouble to go to his boat, photocopy a manual he had onboard and post it to me, free of charge. why?!

for nothing more than the knowledge that he was helping a fellow sailor with a problem; the reason so many spend so long writing responses to problems and sharing their knowledge with the community.

there are some forumites on ybw who seem to hide behind the internet, and are quick to criticise the lack of knowledge and/or the opinions of others, but there are countless more who reflect the helpfulness and willingness-to-put-themselves-out of real-world-boat owners that i have been lucky enough to experience in marinas and in the yard....

Why did you have to mention some who do not seem helpful? Why couldnt you just say thankyou and leave it at that? Just dont understand this kind of post.
