360 was what I was taught to use and the fact that the two examples used 360, not 000, would indicate it's still the case.

I found this:

"Heading : The direction in which the longitudinal axis of an aircraft is pointed,
usually expressed in degrees from North (true, magnetic, compass or grid)
(EU 923/2012)."

Which could be read as meaning either zero or 360 IMHO.

Myself, and everyone I've known and had radio conversations with in 40+ years in aviation have all used 360°

Your aviation comment suggests that there is some (semi?) official protocol for radio usage. In starting the thread I was hoping someone here would know.......:encouragement:.

Over the radio, spelling out every heading as 3 digits makes a lot of sense. If you hear 0 degrees, then that could be part of any heading. Likewise '3-0' degrees could be 30, 130, 230, 300, 305 etc etc.
Also a 3-digit number is unlikely to be anything other than a compass direction?
