Alinghi keel

I could well be wrong, and that the wrong-way hydrodynamic forces equal the gravity (right way) effect. I need to think about it more, but not now - work to do!

Also I've now seen a photo of the top of Alinghi's keel root, and I strongly suspect that the attachment will be removed before thay actually sail the boat, hence it's all just a ruse to worry the opposition.

Absolutely agree with you there! At least it's given everyone something to talk about whilst waiting for the wind...
