Been on the waiting list for a berth for 3 years. Yesterday offered an anual berth at just over half the price of MDL Brixham. Took the boat there 3 years ago and fantastic place. Shall I shan't I???????? Just looked out of the window, so it looks like yes then. Anyone want a Monterey 250 with an anual berth in Alicante???

Sounds good - but Im not sure where your new berth is? Alicante or somewhere else? Anywhere in the Med must be better than the UK looking out the window this morning!

I'm 50 miles north of Alicante this morning, sitting outside in shorts and t shirt. The sea is blue and the sun is shining /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Unfortunately I have to come back tomorrow

Avenger. The weather is definitely better, but around Alicante it does get blowey, mind you a Monterey 250 will handle it well! If you like going to secluded bays the area around Alicante is not great, but further North it improves past Bennidorm! (1 Hours cruising!). Most Beaches have been blocked off though so you will need decent anchor tackle,

I would definitely say go for it!!!!

Cheers

Yep it is Alicante. We towed her there 3 years ago following a recee earlier in the year. We spent some time at anchor off the Isle de Benidorm and an Island 12 miles south of Alicante. which name escapes me. You are right, north is better. Calpe is stunning as is Moria and several other spots.
Ibiza is well within range. Got to balance up the costs of getting the boat there and how much time we could spend there and at what cost.
