Come on then - are you guys still up in the Baltic?

Have I missed a thread about the new boat?

What about pics?

Go ahead - make our day...:D

Simon,

Yes, there were a few photos I posted before as Peter pointed out. And, when we had the twin v. fin keels comparison on Monday (see post a few down), there were about 25 cameras on 8 other boats, all taking dozens of photos of us and each other. The Sirius manager was collecting them (we've sent him the 20 or so that we took), and so I am expecting plenty of photos of Alshira sailing to be sent to us in the next few days. I'll post the best of them.

Back in early August - perhaps we'd better have a proper ECF initiation by going aground on Ray Sands or dragging her anchor (a formidable Bugel, by the way) in Walton Backwaters.

The bugel is, I believe, the design that some of the other new generation anchors were based on. It has a solid triangular, flat, pointed business end, and a hefty roll bar. Ours is 18kg - oversized for our boat, but the Sirius people believe in over-engineering.

Here is a nice one of us sailing our new boat, with the yacht designer and a couple of boat-builder apprentices on board.

We are going back to visit her next weekend, and then sailing back in July/August. It will be great to have her back home.
