That's your fault for buying the wrong stuff.

Meat & fish from Aldi & Lidl can be as good if not better, & certainly cheaper, than from any other supermarket. Same with fruit, but you have to know the prices elsewhere & be able to identify what is fresh - pretty much like any other supermarket.

Aldi's cheapo whisky (Highland Earl) is a damn good value blend too & one of only a handful of blends that will stand up to drinking without a mixer.
