I think that , along with other useful tools from today (Thursday) at Aldi, was mentioned earlier in the thread.

I did scan through the posts but since when has that stopped others posting the same comment on this forum? :nonchalance:

Well they finally got the jigsaw I wanted back in, after I had bought one elsewhere. Still had to buy one though, as I went there to get some Wagyu beef; feckers had sold out at 9.25

That's your fault for buying the wrong stuff.

Meat & fish from Aldi & Lidl can be as good if not better, & certainly cheaper, than from any other supermarket. Same with fruit, but you have to know the prices elsewhere & be able to identify what is fresh - pretty much like any other supermarket.

Aldi's cheapo whisky (Highland Earl) is a damn good value blend too & one of only a handful of blends that will stand up to drinking without a mixer.

Rather disappointingly they do not seem to stock vermouth
