With a bit of wood refurbishing due this winter, thought one of these might be handy.

Had a play, all seems to work very well, bit of a faff to change the heads and it's probably a bit bulky for tight corners. The dust extractor outlet has a diameter which actually fits my vac which is a bonus. Comes in nice plastic box.

Given previous grizzling from the buy cheap buy twice brigade, I do not have the money to buy three different Makita/Bosch products and as long as it does the job on the 6/7 square metres of wood I have to refurb I'll be happy.

BTW they also have well priced abrasive paper to go with it.

I bought a MacAlister palm sander from B & Q a while ago (less than 6 months) and it's brilliant. Similar to this updated one http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/power-to...lm-Sander-MDS100-100W-10637544?skuId=11128250 I think I only paid about 15 quid and well worth the money although the velcro base doesn't grip the sheets like it did when new. I roughed up my entire topsides yesterday in a couple of hours. I'm sure you'll be pleased with yours but I'm not convinced of the value of 3 heads. Professional quality (and price) only make sense for professional users who rely on them every day.
