Aldi combined smoke/monoxide alarm £17.99

The reason Fire angel say it is not suitable for boats is that it has not passed the relevant certification.

I dont think I have seen any statement that is is due to dampness

The CO-9D has EN50291-2:2010 certification, which includes recreational craft. As I've said before, if it's OK in a damp tent, it'll be fine in my dry boat.

It's tempting to suggest that you must have nothing better to do, Vic.

As I said earlier it appears to have the relevant certification But information previously posted suggests that is was tested before addition testing for boat use was included. This is probably the reason why iis not certificated for boat use

Where does it say that this is anything to do with dampness anyway ?

It is none of your business what I do, but for your information I am just killing time before going out to get my lunch from the Age UK lunch club! You dont seem to have anything much better to do either.

Time to go!.... Lunch beckons.
