Available again from Sunday, truly wonderful stuff, best used in damp overcast conditions as the longer its left damp the better it performs. As good as any of the marine stuff, but doesn't work on the waterline brown stain...that's a job for oxalic acid solution.

Would also recommend the Sat System and the Caranuba wash wax, have used both and they work well.

Fire extinguishers also on offer, I have some but not tested.

Car polisher is cheap but ccrap.

I am now able to report a direct back to back comparison with Farecla Rapid Stain Remover.

The Farecla is twice as good, the Aldi is quarter the price.

My boat was uncleaned for over a year, so very dirty indeed, with mouldy green decks.

Another vote for the non- handpump Aldi stuff- I bought it last year on a poster's recommendation and cupboarded it unused. (as you do)

Tried it last weekend applying it with a soft dustpan type hand brush and was very pleasantly surprised, mud, green, shoe marks, oily marks (with a little extra rub) then wash off with a hose. Goes a long way too.

Well Dover brown stains must be stronger and more tenacious than Scottish ones! We have a better class of pollution down here.

Jim on the subject of cleaning, what dilution did you use the two part teak cleaner at, and how much did you/Lynn use for your cockpit? Expensive stuff don't want to overdo it.

if the teak is done once a year, then 10:1 is enough, and you may not need the cleaner, just the renovator.

I have got through 1 litre each of cleaner and renovator in about 5 years for cockpit, companionway surrounds, and full length handrails on the coachroof.

Wear rubber gloves.....seriously, and only use really soft little sponge, and don't let it dry on the GRP surrounding areas.
