Bought one today for £6, seems a bargain. 10 x 1 metre fibreglass rods with screw connections. Fantastic for running new haliards in masts and booms as well as for cables

Don't think it's a current special offer - presumably old stock. They are wonderful for so many things - just wait till the next time you have a blockage in the holding tank!

Strange that, I just tried out a set of drain rods to be sure I could clear it should it block!

Rob.

Ah, but drain rods are usually too thick and stiff for the plastic piping on boats - the cable mousing rods will go through without risking damage.

I bought a set from them..... the ends were not crimped on to the rods very well I managed to loose about 3 rods inside a roof void but I also lost the cable which was a real pain. Check or re crimp the ends and they should be OK

I must say that mine came from CEF and cost closer to £10 per pack - still good value

Just bought a set in Aldi (driving through Trafford, Manchester) reduced to £3.99. There were loads there - about as far from the sea as you can get, wish that I had bought two now...

Useful tip for access rods, if the accessory kit doesn't include a small dome that screws into the end them try to source one or make one, it prevents snagging by the plain end when shoving it up places where obstructions are present, like masts.
