Pottering into Braye Harbour last week found out that they have now got v. strong pick up ropes on the bouys. Great improvement! The Braye chippie also had the best Haddock and Chips that I can remember, even came with a salad!

I've been on the receiving end of some really unpleasant weather (NE 5-6 occ 7)....... I'll still be using my chain around the buoy next time!, just in case.

The landing pontoon for dingies was bucking so much that I had to crawl along it on my hands and knees!

It has always been accepted that braye is a NO-NO in anything NE unless you tuck in behind the fort on your own tackle.

Is that dreadful old pontoon still there? I remember the days before it was installed when you stepped ashore onto the concrete steps with a long painter and had to time it well to avoid getting your feet wet.
