If the weather's good I plan to be there for probably the second half of the week. Have been there before but it was a coincidence and it was sunny and calm. Not sure what events are planned as their web site is not functioning but all good fun. Think Depsol's also intending to be there.

Anyone else going?

Does that mean you haven't yet checked with the boss?

BTW You'll need all the battery power you can muster - no shorepower!!

I am always there for Alderney Week. You've got my number John give me a call when you get there. Bill (Blue blazes) is there already. My boat will be moored near the lifeboat.

If you're there for the Wednesday evening you'll probably see me making an arse of myself in the Alderney week Gala night extravaganza.
Anyone else thinking of coming give me a shout and I'll see if we can organise a drink or two.

It's a free show in the front garden of the Island Hall. All singing, all dancing stuff that takes us several minutes to rehearse. Fair bit of local humour but plenty of groan-worthy material for the visitors too. Bring your own beer. Get there early if you want a chair.

The swinging moorings do get full up but they are very substantial and will take 4 biggish boats rafted up, no trouble. Perhaps any forumites who are coming could raft up together? Other than that you could anchor in the bay South of the fishermen's store boxes. You'll still be charged but it's much cheaper than the swinging moorings. I wouldn't recommend anchoring if North East winds are forecast though.

Bill.

I will have to ask the permission of the owner of the mooring first Duncan other wise Gary will come and move you to a visitors mooring.
