Albin 25 motor sailer

You know he is capable of incredible feats - and his Austin 7 probably got there in 40 minutes at an average of over 100 mph - then stopped dead when the core plug blew!

Maybe he calls his Anderson 22 "Austin 7", that's its length in metres after all. We all talk to our boats, maybe he chats away to "Austin" as he skims over the waves?

What antifouling would you recommend for my Austin?

Back to boats. Should I worry about concrete ballast?

I have always thought it to be a rather too permanent and irreversible idea...this is what was used in the Cox.

Ages ago and I can not remember where, I read something about concrete ballast increasing the risk of osmosis. Like a lot of osmosis info on the web, it could be total rubbish. I can not think why concrete in contact with GRP should cause any issues but then I know next to nothing about concrete or GRP.

Just passing it on :-)

As for permenent, the ballast in CW's is glassed in, metal stampings encapsulated in resin. Pretty permanent.
