Alarms

I am considering installing an alarm on board but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of reviews in the various magazines.

I want a system that will alert me by mobile phone if there is a problem on board and have found:

I have a marcel unit (sim free with pay as you go rather than monthly Vodaripoff). Works fine although Ive not got it fully rigged yet as I intend to link it to a GPS anchor watch alarm. All you need extra is a PIR detector or similar to sense the b**ds getting on board. If you want a demo and advice visit JG Tecnologies in Weymouth (0845 458 9616 www.jgtech.co.uk). My only concern is with the life of GSM phone system which would render the unit useless. Progress to 3G system has slowed but it will supecede GSM in the next few years.
