I have just had a look at www.aislive.com where you can look at real time charts and see what the shipping is doing. It made me appreciate just how busy the English Channel is. You have to sign up but it is free and well worth a look.

wow, what a lot of boats... just by chance, we have in-laws coming to see us today, direction st malo, and weather reportedly nasty. v interesting to be able to look to see where they are, speed etc.... IF we only knew what boat they were on. Now consulting timetables... thanz
