AIS for i-pad

Talking with a colleague this morning he tells me there is an app available for i-pad which does a similar job to AIS.
I guess it would depend on your signal coverage but would probably be OK for coast or estuary use.
Anyone know anything about this ?

App is called Shipfinder, great app.

App is called Shipfinder, great app.

I've got Shipfider on my phone, a great app but no replacement for AIS.

It's not real time, gets it's data from the net, and updates about once per min.
