Is there a tool to fit the circular plastic nut which is used to tighten the through hull against the hull after applying the sealant? I don’t have enough grip to tighten the nut by hand. The nut I’m describing is the one with the ‘nibs’ moulded to it that tightens down onto a rubber washer Inside the hull. Specifically this is for housimg the Raymarine speed ST60+ transducer.

I apply some CT1 to the full, both sides of the washer and the "nut" (generously) and gently tight with plumbers pipe grips. This sort of thing : Amazon.co.uk : plumbing grips

Don't over tighten, just enough to squeeze some CT1 out. Plenty of CT1 between the fitting and the hull too. Multi surface wipes clean the excess off nicely, i use Lidl W5 wipes.

Hand tight is all I did. But a Boat Constrictor would do it. But don't overtighten it.

Or get someone else to do it.

As above others replies ... hand tight only till sealant is squeezed out ...

Going tighter and you risk breaking the plastic threads !! or even cracking the flange outside the hull ...

If you really need a tool due to limited access to get full hand in ... than a piece of plastic pipe suitable diameter with notches cut into bottom edge to slip over the through hull nut lugs ... a long slit up the pipe - to allow the cable to exit ... but again - do not overtighten.
