Airmar transducer P7- contacts

I have a standard Airmar depth transducer atatched to a Raymarine ST40. Depth started being intermittent and now hasn't worked for months. Have cleaned up the contacts on the ST40 but does anyone know if I can get to the contacts on the trandsucer itself or is it a sealed unit ?

Hi, sorry to hijack your thread. I have a Volvo Penta 3587054 Multi sensor with paddle wheel for speed. The speed is fine but the depth is constantly fluctuating and inaccurate. Initially I was not getting a depth reading....only three dashes. After removing and cleaning I am getting a reading but it's all over the place. Quoted £501+vat for a new one but the dealer said it's not a common failure. He sold one in the last 3 years.
Is there a way to test it?
