Air cooled?

Hi, I’ve got a small air-cooled Honda for my dinghy. It has been very reliable and easy to start. Fuel economy is good as well.

Have lots of air cooled Hondas in stock...some are noisier than others. Depends on what exhaust is fitted.Your welcome to come and try them before you commit. The older air and water cooled Honda 2 hp engines are quiet.

I was going to come &look at an outboard from you last year if I recall, but when I was ready to buy, you were on hols. I'll PM You today sometime.

Try the Mariner / Tohatsu 3.3, a far superior unit. I once bought a Honda 2.3 from new, noisy, snatches sometimes when pulling the started cord, only up side is frugal with fuel. I now have a Tohatsu 3.3

There's a reason you see those Honda 2.3's pretty much everywhere these days. Well done Honda for daring to be different.

Sea water is not the best stuff to run through small cooling passages. I've had to strip and unblock both a Suzuki and a Tohatsu in the past - never again.
